The XBanders’ is a group of professional musicians who came together to produce "Power Pop" ~ Radio friendly grooves with intelligent lyrics and progressive, original song structures.
Their first project is a 4 song demo. consisting of material written by guitarist/song writer, Caleb Jacobs. Caleb has been playing guitar for over 20 years with a talent for coming up with catchy chord progressions. Vowing from early on, not to use standard chord voicing, his songs achieve a fresh sound from the beginning. With influences in classic progressive rock ala Zep, Floyd and Yes, to more contemporary styles such as Police, Dave Matthews and Bare Naked Ladies. His goal is to produce intelligent, radio friendly songs with originality and technical ability.
Teamed with Joe Farrell on vocals, the classic partnership of singer~guitarist is achieved. Joe and Caleb went to High School together and have always dreamed of being the next Page & Plant or Anderson & Howe. Joey’s non~threatening tone, coupled with just the right amount of angst, give the songs wide appeal to a diverse audience.
Jon Gordan (Producer~Musician) and Chris Benelli (Drums) complete this song producing group. Jon is a multitalented musician/arranger/producer and has worked with many hit~song writers (Suzanne Vega, Lisa Loeb) always adding the perfect part at just the right time, keeping the listener’s attention from the first beat to the last ~ his ideas are always fresh and spontaneous. Jon is also responsible for hiring Chris, whose subtle but powerful drumming drives the songs with momentum and style.
