UPDATE: 9/01/03

Well there is alot of news to report. The Turbostang is running, and very good I might add.
On the other hand, I had a slight problem with a guardrail. I'll explain later.:(
On to the good stuff.. I finally got the car running, but with problems.. on the first day or so.. It overheated.. due to a seeping headgasket from the previous run time in N/A mode.. I dont know how.. most likely from me not re-torqing the headgaskets. Anyhow it overheated pretty bad and warped both heads and consequently popped both gaskets.. I had the heads surfaced.. and now it runs at 210 during the heat of the day with a cheap-o 3 row copper brass radiator.
Now that the car is running properly I wanted to check out the boost.. I have 6 p.s.i. springs in the wastegates to keep the boost at a safe level for street driving..which I do alot of. I made a couple of short blasts down the street in 1st and 2 nd gear to check the EGT's and the were only at 1350* after loading my tuneup in the TWEECER.. So I left it well enough alone..I went to the track on that following thursday night to make some street tire runs.. It was almost useless.. it ended up running a best of 8.08@98 on my bald Nittos...then on friday night I went to the track again.. with slicks. It proceeded to run a 7.18@101 on the first pass.. later it went 7.10... I was totally happy with this considering it left with absolutely NO boost at all... Oh and these are 1/8 mile passes.
This is all I have for now with pics to come at a later date. Keep checking back because I have videos too.. :)
UPDATE: 07/10/04

Finally I have the chance to update the page. I have been really  busy with the car and have alot of progress to report.
First I'll state the obvious - it runs. I have a Art Carr built C4 with a transbrake in it now (insted of the Lentech AOD that I started out with) I had so many transmission troubles that I really wanted to give up. The problem finally wound up bieng a bad torque converter. Go figure. I have dyno tuned the car with only 13.5 psi of boost. I walked away with 543/570 to the wheels (through the loose converter and C4)... On to the good stuff.. I have over 80 passes on the car now with a best of 6.36 @109.3 on that same boost setting..I can't believe how reliable and consistant the car is now.. It runs 6.4's like it is going out of style.
...but wait it gets better....
I finally made up my mind to turn it up some more. Now I have upped the boost to approximately 16 psi... The tuneup is not where it needs to be with EGT's skyrocketing to the 1800* range!!! It still managed to pull of a 6.19@112 w/1.43 60ft !!! I am sure that with some dyno time that it will go some loooow 6.0's :D
THE CHANGES... I had to make a few changes to the turbo kit ... mainly the MAF was the problem. Shown to the right is the new Tial BOV and 4" Pro-M univer calibrated for the 96# injectors !!!
