When the SP-1200 was first introduced, it quickly became the tool of choice among studio and performing musicians. Its sound quality and flexibility made it the standard for professional user-sampling percussion systems- Now, by popular demand, E-mu Systems® is proud to reissue the SP-1200 in a special limited edition black housing. This is the SP-1200 that has been used on literally hundreds of hit recordings. You wanted it. It's back!

The SP-1200 gives you up to 32 instantly available user sounds contained in four banks. You can easily create custom sound sets by drawing from the extensive SP-1200 library and from your own samples. No longer limited to the trademark sound of traditional drum machines, the SP-1200's user sampling function allows you to create totally unique sounds.

Fast Access
You get fast access to all this sound power through the SP-1200's 3.5" internal floppy disk drive. The drive has been optimized to allow you to load a new disk (containing as many as 32 sounds. 100 sequences and 100 songs) in just seconds. Great for live performances or critical studio situations-

Funk-tonal Power
The SP-1200 has a unique user interface which encourages experimentation and stimulates your creativity. Easy sampling, looping and triggering makes it the ideal tool for the DJ or remix artist. It's "the starting point of all jams" according to one famous producer. Standard features include:
flexible segment editing, backwards sounds, dynamic channel allocation, MIDI Song Pointer and expanded programming functions,

The SP-1200 also contains outstanding features such as an SMPTE time code reader/generator, programmable mixing eight dynamic buttons, sound swap function, two-octave tunable range for any sample and step programming.

Quality Sounds
Sound quality is always E-mu's top priority. and the SP-1200 punches through with outstanding clarity and brilliance. The SP-1200 has the largest sound library of any sampling percussion system. Each SP-1200 comes standard with five sound disks. That's over
120 sounds, with hundreds more available from E-mu and other sound developers.

The SP-1200. Still the best.
