Card 5: Mystical Knight of Jackal
Effect Monster
Level: 7
Type: Beast-Warrior
Attribute: Light
Attack: 2700
Defence: 1200
When this card destroys 1 monster on your opponent's side of the field and sends it to your opponent's Graveyard as a result of battle, you can then return the card to the top of your opponent's Deck.

Jackal, released in Pharonic Guardian, is the new lock card, that is incredibly underrated. 2700 ATK can cut through most other tribute monsters played above intermediate level. Basically, his effect means you can send the same monster to the top of his deck every turn, meaning that's the only thing he'll draw; he won't draw anything else, putting him in a lock. Unfortunatly, on cards like sangan and witch of the black forest, their effect will still active; but even then it's only optional you're placing the card at the top of the deck.
The only way the opponent can break this loop is to not place the monster at all, which means they'll be vunerable to attack. It's a win-win situation. This card is similar to the slightly less powerful 'Winged Sage Falcos', with 4 stars and 1000 less ATK. This card does have the advantage of the effect being optional, however. Bring the jackal out in late game, when you're opponent lifepoints are low and you may have a victory on your hands since you force them to not place any monsters or suffer the loop.

+ Loop Effect
+ High Attack
+ Leaves opponent open

- Has problems against graveyard-activated cards
- 2 tribute monster

Overall, an awesome card. Not one you can slip in that casually, but can easily be worked into your deck.
