Card 9: Mirror Wall
Type: Continuous
Halve the ATK of all your opponent's attacking monsters. Pay 2000 Life Points during each of your Standby Phases. If you do not, destroy this card.

You know, last time I did a featured card, I promised myself I'd lay off the traps. But you know what? I've thought this card to have almost no potential as a duelist for until since I can remember. But now...
Let me explain. Generally, while playing aggresivly, you'll encounter a lot of ATK on ATK situations. This card's effect basically is a 1-card mirror wall. Forgetting the second effect for a moment, in aggresive decks, this is almost as good as the real thing.
Now some think the second effect is a downside, but trust me; it isn't. This is the exact same effect that IO has (apart from the extra LP loss). This is a great advantage this card has; it lasts all of your opponent's battle phrase. Generally, 2000 LP is too much, but if so, simply discard it. It's there as an option. Also, you don't have to use this card with your mons in ATK mode. It'll permanently (Yes, the effect is permanent) half their ATK, making them easy pickings in a staple/aggresive deck. This card also turns those low-ATK tribute monsters into awesome-effect powerhouses; such as the shadow spell canceller. Hell, you could make a Mirror Spell Canceller deck, and it'd work quite well.

+ Halves Attack Permanently
+ Useful in Aggresion Decks

- Just trying to think of one... Not destroying all their monsters is hardly a negative.

While not as good as it's uber counterpart, this is DEFINATLY a card to consider.
