the latest
it was on a sleepless night on 01/02 january 06, at about 0330hrs ist
that i thought i will check up the meter
reading of my home telephone 2557757.
it is an automated thing and you just have to dial 1501 for it. the computer
will identify the telephone from which the call is coming
and tell you "the meter reading for your telephone number
1234567 is 2345 or whatever it is."
i usually get on to the net, if at all i do, at night. i was aware that
i have locked all the out going calls including local calls.
inspite of that i first dialed the isp's number
in order to make a pretext that my aim is to get on to the net
and mislead the pimp. obviously i was not
allowed to access the number as it was locked. i put in the code to allow out
going calls and instead of the isp's number as would have been expected
dialed 1501 to get the meter reading. the computer identified my telephone
as 2447125 and gave the meter reading of that phone. i was not at all surprised
and in fact this was what i was expecting.
after a couple of minutes i dialed again
and the computer identified my number correctly as 2557757.
the number 2447125 belongs to one mr. rajan rawther, rafi manzil, prasanth nagar
of trivandrum XI. this house is just across my house on the opposite hillock.
if i am not mistaken the p_birds take off from this area only and
it looks the pakkichi service also has its head quarters some where there!
i am not a telecommunication engineer and i can only make presumptions.
but you must be an expert. what are the chances of a computer making a mistake
and within seconds rectifying it? there is only one explanation, no?
but in my case you always have an excuse -
the panacea - apply the lunacy theory!
