In the Forest of Silence, they soon find that weapons are useless. They meet up with Presea and she tells them they need to find the ore Escudo so that she can make them evolving weapons, but in the meanwhile they each take their own weapons.Hikaru a sword as well as Umi and Fuu has a bow and arrow. They meet a strange swordsman named Ferio and he follows the girls because he is lost.

In the forest they discover a strange black rock that takes things and turns them into monsters. Fuu defeats it with her bow and arrow while Umi and Fuu ward off the monsters. Ferio gives Fuu a red gem ball and tells her that you can make as many wishes as you want on it.
