Here's an interview that was in the school paper (Ysgol Emrys ap Iwan). The interview was by Hazel Charlseworth in Spring 2002.

So Lewis do you mind being in a band with your brothers, Chris and Steve?
Um, I don't really mind I've been doing it like ever since I was six I'm a bit drained about it now!

Can you describe your music to those who aren't clued up about X-ell?
It's not like boyband but it's more like rocky and we've got some soft ones in there as well. It's like rock stuff.

Are you still doing local gigs and how can we find out about them?
Um, We do local gigs sometimes but we're playing Ireland and London and places now. We usually advertise in the newspaper and put up posters of something.

Have you got a website?
Yeah, it's
www.officialx-ell.co.uk

What's the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened at one of your gigs?
I went to jump off the stage and I tripped over and landed on my back!

Do X-ell have a record deal? I heard you have one in America!
We have a management deal with Lee Highman, a publishing deal with Universal and our record deal's with Atlantic.

I also hear you've been in the recording studio! What have you recorded?
We mostly record our own songs such as like "Rockstar", and "Succeed", stuff like that but sometimes we can do different songs like for our other manager Mike Peters, we can revamp one of his songs but we've got our recording studio down at the bottom of our garden now, a professional one.

So when will these be realeased?
Hopefully it'll be this year because we're going to New York soon and we might be releasing there first. Our first single will probably be "Rockstar" or something like that.

Do you feel ready for fame?
I've felt ready for fame for six years so hopefully this year it'll be our big break!
