Info and Past

Jillas is introduced to the series TRY for the first time in eppieside 2.  He and his boss, Gravos, were trying to find a powerful sword which we know as the Sword of Light, held by Gourry.  Of course, when they tried to steal treasures from a town that the Slayers were traveling to (they were very hungery I might add) they were beaten badly.  He and Gravos were working for an ancient dragon/mazuko named Valgaav.  They are both very loyal to him and were actually the only allies who were with him from the beginning to the end.  Alymayce (whom I believe Valgaav was working with/for) tried to kill Valgaav when he was trying to summon Dark Star.  Jillas has always been loyal to Valgaav since he saved his life.  His village was ambushed by some very mean people who wanted to kill of the beast men.  All of his friends and family were killed, thus leaving him as last of the red fox tribe.  He was also terribly injured and had lost an eye.  He had a bad wound in in his shoulder and was left to die.  Valgaav appeared before him and saved him.  Jillas has been completly loyal to him since and always tries to pay him back.  Jillas finally gets the Sword of Light from the Slayers and is moved to tears that he will be able to finally please his boss, but the Slayers get it back, then Valgaav gets it and summons Dark Star.  Valgaav sacrifices himself to Dark Star and Jillas is screaming for him.  After that, he had nowhere to go... When Jillas finally got the chance to build graves for Valgaav and Gravos, (whom had been sent into orbit by Lina's Dragon Slave) he had met Palu and stayed with him and his mom.  He was like a father to him but when he found out that Lina and the others were still alive, he followed after them, seeking revenge. He became quite attached to Filia and decided to help them out.  In the end, Valgaav was reborn as a full ancient dragon and Jillas helped Filia take care of him in Filia's pottery shop, so Jillas is a good guy in the end, although he is never a bad guy, just misunderstood.
