| Cecrops the sailor hasn't slept soundly in three hundred years. Cursed by Poseidon wander the seas until love redeems him, he appears mostly equally bitter toward Athena, who granted him immortality. Cecrops laments the loss of his one true love,Tarae, from whom he was seperated by Poseidon's whirlpool Charybdis but who watched him from the shore every evening until she died-the only woman whose love could truly save him. Xena, who has boarded this cursed vessel with Gabrielle,is convinced that Athena must have kept Cecrops alive for good reason, and persuades him to sail once more to Tarae's village. As they approach Charybdis, Poseidon offers to help Cecrops if he kills Xena, but Cecrops refuses- an act of pure love that sets him free at last, to enjoy both land and life. |

| Xena's life is an ongoing stuggle to rein to her rage-execpt in "Comedy Of Eros", where she must instead contain a sudden attraction to her foe, the warlord Draco. The Warrior Princess is not the only one suffering the arrows of outrageous romantic fortune: Cupid's baby, Bliss, has flown off with his father's quiver of love-tipped arrows and is happliy shooting at random passerby.Other targets include Gabrielle, who now craves the affections of Joxer; and Draco, who is smitten with desire for Gabrielle. The sudden flowering of unlikely love is especially inconvenient for Xena, who is trying to save the temple of Hestial virgins from Draco's slave-raiding soldiers.Piecing together the mystery, Xena has Cupid break the spell for everyone, but Draco, who vows to reform in order to win Gabrielle's favor-and Joxer, who has fallen for Gabrielle in a way no mere Olympian could alter. |
