Born February 22, 1975, Drew Blyth Barrymore was destined for stardom. At the age of 11 months, her mother Jaid began taking Drew to TV auditions. An actress was born when Drew starred in her first television appearance--a commercial for Gainesburger Puppy Food.... ...Over the next several years, Drew grew into a charming and imaginative child. Her smile was dazzling and her personality catching. At the age of six Drew auditioned for Steven Spielberg's Poltergeist. Spielberg felt that the role was not for her, but instead she landed a big role as Gertie in E.T. The Extra-terrestrial. Currently, Drew is working on a several new films--50 First Dates (2004), A Confederacy of Dunces (2004), and Date School.
