Controls

So you're dying to play Xena, but you can't get used to the controls (and you've lost the instruction manual?). Then this is the place to go. You can find the button combinations for basic moves, advanced moves and combo's here. If you find any combo's that aren't listed here, feel free to tell me.

Basic moves

To perform a devastating slash, press the ´ button.

To unleash a powerful kick, press the button.

To perform a short jump, press the r button.

To perform a long jump, press the Directional button + L1 button + r button.

To block an attack, press the button.

To run, press the Directional button + L1 button.

To look around, press the R1 button.

To throw the Chakram, press the R1 button + ´ button. To guide the Chakram, hold the R1 button + Directional button.

To perform a rolling tumble, press the button while running.

To unleash a running slash, press the ´ button while running.

To launch a front-flip, press the r button while running.

Advanced moves

To perform a 180 degree slash, press the Directional button in the opposite direction Xena is facing + ´ button.

To execute a 180 degree kick, pressthe Directional button in the opposite direction Xena is facing + button.

To perform a 360 degree spinning attack, continually press the ´ button + button.

To launch a 360 degree kick, press the button + button.

To groin kick (one of the best against male opponents) a foe, press the ´ button + button.

To bicycle kick an opponent, press the Directional button towards an opponent + button + r button.

To perform a back-flip, press the Directional button in the opposite direction Xena is facing + r button.

To execute a cartwheel, press and hold the button + single tap the Directional button LEFT/RIGHT.

To perform a back handspring, press and hold the button + single tap the Directional button in the opposite direction Xena is facing.

To sword bash a foe, stand behind your opponent and press the ´ button.

Combinations

These combo's are pretty lethal. There are more of them than you can read in the manual. Try experimenting in the Training Arena to find unique fighting techniques.

To double slash, press the ´ button twice.

To triple slash, press the ´ button three times.

To double kick, press the button twice.

To triple kick, press the button three times.

To perform a slash, kick, slash combo, press the ´ button, then the button and then the ´ button again (following each other up quickly).

To perform a kick, kick, slash combo, press the button twice and then the ´ button.

To perform a low spin kick combo, press the ´ button, then the button twice.
