In Loving Memory

Adeline Manikowski
(1922-2003)
Adeline Manikowski was a phenominal woman.  Whether it came to sweeping her street after a rainstorm, trimming hedges with a pair of scissors and a ruler, or teaching students math, there was nothing she couldn't do.  I knew her for seven years.  She was my math tutor, and basically a second grandmother to me.  Every week, I would go to her for a little math review.  But, lessons with Mrs. Manikowski were so much more.  There was always something cool going on in her life, and she would always share the newest stories with me.  Our time together was priceless.

Most unfortunately, on Sunday September 21, 2003, she passed away in her sleep.  She was not sick, and lived a healthy life.  I never thought she would leave her family, friends, and students, but now that time has come.  So, I am dedicating my Xena website to this awesome person.  (I always tried to get her into Xena, and now, maybe I've done just that!) For everyone that knew her, she will never truly be gone, as long as we keep her in our hearts.

So, thanks Mrs. Manikowski for influencing my life so much for the better.  God bless, and may you keep as busy and occupied in heaven as you did on earth!

I miss you!
