| This work would note be complete if I did not include the occult lore that is so common to our works. This next portion of my essay will reveal some events that have happened in the last few years and demonstrate their similarity with the events that are forecast in the fragments of the Book of Nod that I have read. The first thing that I should comment on is the rising occurrence of Caitiff. One of the fragments that I have seen in photographs read that the increase in Caitiff would signal the end of times. The rise of the Ravnos Antiluvian signals that this time is nearing, and that our clan must finalise our preparations to repulse the other powerful elders that are sure to awaken in the near future. Additionally, this period of time has seen the rise of humans with an incredible amount of supernatural energy contained within them. While I am unsure as to the origins of this power, I am forced to remember that this too was written on a clay tablet found in Cairo by the Setites. It said that when the Kindred were growing too powerful, and their shadow war threatened to overtake the kine, that God would send his holy knights back to earth to remove Caine's blight. I believe that new, supernatural hunters are these knights, and that we are in danger of being eliminated by them. In my current chantry we have researched the travelling habits of a cluster of them. They appear to be able to communicate with each other via strange symbols, though we have yet to decipher their meanings. It should be noted to all that are reading this that the mortals are incredibly deadly; they have already send several elders in this city to their graves, and only through our continued diligence have we avoided hostilities with them.
