Part Two: The Original Thirteen Wherein the Author Expresses the First Revolution |
Caine wandered for many decades, pondering his existence, much like the young neonates that are reading this material. After this period of time, he began to grow lonely, and so he created three others such as himself. All were powerful, though none as mighty as Caine. He formed a city with them, called Enoch after his favoured childe. There the four remained as Gods amongst the humans that they summoned to serve them. More time passed, and the Triad felt a desire to also embrace others into the family they were part of. Thirteen were taken into the family while Caine was away, wandering the world and learning of its power. The Thirteen enjoyed their unlives for the first while they were undead. Nosferatu and Ariel fell in love, and the Gangrel and Ravnos founders began to quarrel. During this time Tzimisce went about his experiments and Ventrue ruled. Things were good for many years, until the third generation realised that they were significantly weaker than their creators. Tzmisce and Nosferat spent much time with each other, trying to determine how they could become as powerful as their sires. It was Nosferat that unearthed the solution to their problem. He suggested that the younger vampires should rise up against their sires and destroy them, perhaps even drink their hearts blood. In doing so they would either become more powerful than their sires, or they would simply eliminate them, guaranteeing that the third generation would be the most powerful creatures to walk the land. After some planning, the third generation rose up against their sires and destroyed them. But all was not well. As mighty Enoch fell to Tzimisce's wicked talons Caine, the first, returned from his travels. His return heralded the end of the third generations' plan. They were forever altered by Caine's wrath, and the curses he levied are evident to this day. Brujah rage easily, Gangrel appear feral, Toreador are easily distracted by beauty; twelve of the clans possess a weakness due to Caine's fury. We are the only clan without a curse.....but I will discuss that in the next part of the report. |
