Has it really been over four years since this insane journey began? Hard to believe how time flies while you procrastinate. To all of our regular readers, thank you for sticking with us during this 'long, strange trip'. And to our new readers, thanks for joining us for the ride... and be sure your seat belt is fastened and be sure to keep your hands and feet within the vehicle at all times.
Other than the color scheme and graphics, there have been some additional changes to the Hurricane Shelter. The Music Page, Who's Who page and Caesar's Palace have been retired. (...because I am lazy and didn't feel like maintaining them anymore! However, I will still e-mail a Starkweather Nitpicker Award, designed by Kam1978, to anyone who finds a glaring error in any of the fics, from continuity to spelling...) Also there is an Other X-Files Fanfic Page for the stories we have written but have nothing to do with the Starkweather Series.
Other than that, the stories remain the same: a twisted view of what would have happened if there was a year inserted between Season Eight and Season Nine and a new female agent was introduced to the X-Files team. As always, we strive to stay true to X-Files canon, but there are minor deviations taken to suit our evil purposes. Since the "believer versus skeptic" angle has been played out, the battle of wills takes place between "the conformist and the rebel", in other words, between canon character John Doggett and original character Jerilyn Starkweather. Even though this is a pro-Doggett and pro-Reyes fics there is very little DRR. Also be prepared for some MSR and the acknowledgement that William is the spawn of Mulder. The MSR is a subplot to the greater conspiracy and while it adds to the storyline, it is not THE storyline. Translation: there is some smut and lurvin' but not enough to induce a diabetic coma. And there is no slash... except in the snark fics on the Other X-Files Fanfic Page!
