Field Marshal Noventa

We don't see much of him in the series, but he is a key figure. Marshal Noventa was one of the key players in the United Earth Sphere Alliance, and ultimately became the leader of that organization. He was a renowed man for settling disputes, and a hero within the Alliance. Various things were named after him, such as the Noventa Cannon, the pride of the Alliance Army. However, it's ironic because he was a man of peace, and weapons did not suit him. When the Gundams came to Earth, attacking Alliance and OZ facilities, Noventa was the one of the first to suggest making peace with the Colonies, starting with the first step of unilateral demilitarization as a sign of good will and friendship toward the colonies. This was greeted with disblief among most of the senior members of the Alliance and OZ schemed to bring about an end to this, for if continued, it would end the Romefeller Foundation's plans of dominance because the Foundation relied on selling weapons to the Alliance. However, the Alliance seemed resolute in the end with Noventa, deciding that disarmarment was the best solution to the hostility. However, the plans never took place, for at that moment OZ had launched it's Coup d'etat, Operation Daybreak, to dismantle the Alliance. OZ, in the process, decided to get rid of all of the Alliance members who were advocating disarmarment, including Noventa. They hatched a cunning plan to lure the Gundam pilots to where the Alliance meeting was being held, at the New Edwards base, and it succeded brilliantly. Heero, playing along with OZ's plan, thinking that the carrier that Noventa used for his escape was an OZ carrier, destoryed it, silencing the voices of Noventa, Ventei, and the rest of the Alliance pacifists. It was a tragic day indeed.
