XXXG-01SR Gundam Sandrock

The Gundam Sandrock was designed and made by Instructor H who took refuge in the Winner family from the Alliance. This Gundam was obviously designed for close range combat, as you can see from it's thick armor and the massive heat shotels. Actually, I think this Gundam looks pretty awesome! ^_^ It's pilot is the friendly and sometimes overemotional Quatre Winner, being raised in a pacifist family, he was not allowed to go to earth in the Gundam, but he did so anyways.

The Gundam Sandrock is the most heavily armored of all the Gundams, and it can withstand a lot of pressure. It's main weapons are it's heat shotels that Quatre sometimes can throw as a last resort. It's also armed with two homing missiles, and it shows it's deadly work several times in the series. Moreover, the Gundam Sandrock's heat shotels and shield can combine together, making a massive, pincer-like weapon called the cross crusher. You only get to see this weapon used in one episode on the helpless Walker, but nevertheless it is a very effective weapon. But Quatre probably avoids using it because of his nature.

Like all the other Gundams made for use in Operation Meteor, it went to earth sometime in April, A.C. 195. It parcipitated in a variety of attacks with the other Gundams, including an assult on an Alliance Leo factory and the mistake of attacking the New Edwards base. It also attacked with the other Gundams the plan to transport OZ's new Taurus space mobile suit, when Heero self-detonated. But because of Quatre's inconfidence (as he said himself) he ended up detonating "his dear Sandrock" and going to space alone. But OZ tries to reconstuct it, and the Gundam falls in the hands of the Magunaut Corps. There it's rebuilt and returned to Quatre after he comes back to the earth to defend the Peacecraft nation, the Sanc Kingdom.
