XXXG-01W Wing Gundam

The Wing Gundam was designed by Doctor J prior to Operation Meteor for the Barton Foundation in it's operation to take over the earth sphere. It is the most direct decendant of the Wing Zero Gundam, as you can see in it's features. It, like the Wing Zero, can transform into an aircraft, and it also has a buster cannon. (Gee, somehow this reminds me of a Core fighter! ^_^) But unlike the Wing Zero, whose buster cannon seem to fire like, infinite shots, the Wing Gundam's buster cannon can only fire three shots before it has to recharge. You say, how? I bet I've seen it fire more than three times in one battle! Not true. At some time, Heero always switches to the trusty beam saber that he's more comfortable with.

This ill-fated, Buster cannon toting Gundam is first used by Heero Yuy in the year A.C 195 (duh) and right from the minute it gets in the Earth's atmosphere, it gets chased down by OZ veteran pilot Zechs Merquise and sunk. What luck! I didn't even touch the ground! Then it gets towed out, only to be detonated again by Heero a few months later. It's repaired by Zechs in hopes of another confrontation, but weeks later when they go back to space, Heero decides to hide it in the sea. So it ends up underwater. Again. Then Heero retrives it during Operation Nova and takes it to Luxembourg to battle the mobile doll army. There it's overwelmed by the sheer number of mobile dolls and it's abandoned. Then finally, Lady Une takes it in the Eve Wars to block a shot from Libra. It gets scrapped...again.

Like I said, ill-fated. But this is must be a great Gundam. After all, that's what the series is named after, right? ^_^
