Next Story: E'drik's Tale

(Edited for dancing, auction-shouts, the odd & very rare /ooc comment in say, /ooc tells, mistells, spelling & grammar when obviously or aesthetically necessary, and the numeric (text-color?) codes that UbiSoft seems to find it necessary to put into my logs. Dammit. ~V.)

[Shout] Fesra: Let us hear a story!
[Shout] Hikmat: I have a story!
Fesra Mihrjan cheers to Hikmat Manar.
[Shout] Hikmat: I shall say it in the common tongue, for those who do not know the words of our people.
[Shout] Hikmat: For those who have been gone from home too long. For those who come home today.
[Shout] Hikmat: Years ago, there was an Irekei by the game of Hakim.
[Shout] Hikmat: He had a well, a well he guarded and kept. He shared with visitors, and showed them hospitality.
[Shout] Hikmat: But then, one day, a fir'khanim came. The fir'khanim, having bled his water away, asked for a drink.
[Shout] Hikmat: Hakim could not refuse a guest, and so let him drink.
[Shout] Hikmat: But the fir'khanim did not know the rules of hospitality. He did not leave.
[Shout] Hikmat: He did not leave. He stayed.
[Shout] Hikmat: And he drank. Again and again and again. For days he stayed.
[Shout] Hikmat: Then, finally sated, he left.
[Shout] Hikmat: Hakim waited three days, by the laws of hospitality. He then found the fir'khanim's trail.
[Shout] Hikmat: He followed it through the sands, across the mountains, to running water, where a house stood.
[Shout] Hikmat: Inside, the fir'khanim slept. The fir'khanim and his brothers, half-giants with large clubs.
[Shout] Hikmat: And so Hakim knew what he must do. He waited.
[Shout] Hikmat: He hid in the grasses until the next morning, when the brothers left, to do whatever they do.
[Shout] Hikmat: The fir'khanim sat in bed, lazy, drinking wine. Hakim snuck into the house.
[Shout] Hikmat: And when this fir'khan closed his eyes, Hakim stuck daggers in them.
[Shout] Hikmat: Hakim showed his hospitality, even to those who can never understand it.
[Shout] Hikmat: But he did not forget the slight. He did not forget. Just as we should not forget.
[Shout] Hikmat: We cannot forget the things they have done. We have all of time to right them, and make them pay in blood.
[Shout] Hikmat: We need not hurry. We need only await the right moment. NKOTH!
