It Came From Next Door
Summary: A meteor is about to destroy the Earth, but Jenny would rather hang out with her new friends, Brad and Tuck. And Tuck doesn't seem to think that his new robot-neighbor is very cool, unlike his brother Brad.
Storyboard:
Alex Kirwan, Rob Renzetti
DIrected: Rob Renzetti
Villian: no actual person, just a meteor
Moral: there isn't one, really
Stuff I Noticed:
*This episode is just basicly a redo of My Neighbor Has a Teenage Robot on Oh Yeah! Cartoons.
*My Life as a Teenage Robot is the first Oh Yeah! Cartoons spin-off to redo their entire time on the show.
*The comic book Brad is reading says Action.
*Tuck is wearing a green hat at the beginning of the episode. He wore a hat similiar to it on Oh Yeah! Cartoons
*In Jenny's room, there are monitors showing Tokyo, Paris, Chicago, Moscow, Peking, New York and Burbank.
*Jenny has a Sync'N poster, a Lil' Rover poster, one that just says Rob and a Spitney poster. Take offs of N'Sync, Lil' Bow Wow, and Britney Spears. I don't know who Rob is.
*Jenny's magazine says Terrific Teen.
*The ice cream truck says New and Yum.
My rating and review:
I'm sorry about this, but I feel biased with this being the first episode. I wish that they had made the episode a half-hour long, because they seemed to cut off something that could have easily had so much more crammed into it. I feel like I'm going on a rant about all the bad things in the show. Well, I have to stop that :) I was blown away by the character animation in this episode, especially with Jenny and the meteor. Mrs. Wakeman seemed to display the typical 'mom' features and Jenny, I have to admit, did a great job standing up for imprisoned teenagers everywhere. Thanks Jenny! I owe ya one. Anyway, this seemed to set up a good point for the rest of the show's run. I give it an B+. Which means very good, in my language.
