Raggedy Android
Summary: Mrs.Wakeman doesn't want Jenny to go to the fair because she's a robot.  All Jenny wants is to hang out with her friends and be normal, so Mrs.Wakeman creates Jenny an exoskin, but the problem is it makes her look even freakier. And the town forms into an angry mob, and then the ferris wheel goes out of control.
Storyboard:
Alex Kirwan, Rob Renzetti
Directed:
Rob Renzetti
Villian: ummm...the angry mob is sortof, or maybe they're mislead. The out of control ferris wheel is, in it's own way.
Moral: I think that the moral is 'looks aren't important' or possibly 'don't judge a book by it's cover' and this message comes again.
Stuff I Noticed:
*Rob Renzetti was nominated for an annie award for directing this episode.
*The title is a take off of Raggedy Ann
*Jenny's weapons she shows in the beginning, in this order, are: Laser Limb, Dyno Drill & Blazing Blades, Mighty Mallets, Fists of Fury, Shiva Swords, Rocket Power, Poppin Shield, Thor's Hammer, Swiss Knicks, Crossbow, Lobster Claw, Monkey's Paw, Stretchy Arm and Extend-o Fingers
*The fair is 11th Annual Townsquare Fair
*At the fair, there is a Petting Zoo, Go Fish, Arcade, Spritz the Clown, Lazer Range, Terror Castle, House of Fun, Junch & Pudy (I saw it there) and a Wishing Well
*When Jenny arrives at the fair, she is panting. However, because she is a robot, she does not breathe and therefore does not run out of breath and can't pant. Strange, huh?
*Once Jenny arrives, you can see such signs as Gasp!, Aaaaaah and Help.
My rating and review:
I would like to make it very clear that I do not consider this episode great beyond all standards. I don't consider it horrible either. It did get kinda weird after a while, and the ending was supposed to be a surprise, it was but not exactly in a way we imagined. Mrs. Wakeman tried too hard. Jenny seemed to slip right into the role. Mrs. W was a little out of character. I can't say that this episode was very good. I can't say it was very bad. It was ok, I guess. It was sampled in a few other episodes (The Return of Raggedy Android, Hostile Makeover). All in all, I have to give it a B-. It helped us get a deeper look at Jenny being a robot, and a few cheesy jokes, but that won't save it.
