The Great Unwashed
Summary: Jenny wants to go to Don Prima's party, but she's way too banged up to go. Don's only inviting cool kids. So Jenny goes to get a new look.
Storyboard:
Bernie Petterson
Directed: Tim Walker,
Rob Renzetti
Featuring
Quinton Flynn as the dynamite salesman and Nick Jameson as the Mudslinger
Villian: The Mudslinger
Moral: Popularity is shallow/looks aren't important
Stuff I Noticed:
*Jenny was sitting outside of Mezmeer's before she went to the garage.
*Tuck was going to Don's party. What's up with that?
*Originally, this episode called for Jenny to be facing the Cluster instead of helping a dynamite salesman. It was, most likely, changed for time purposes.
*If you watch very closely, in the very beginning, you can see a car part or something that says Valve.
*There is a used car destroying place (I forget what they are called.) in front of Jenny's high school.
*The Mudslinger works at some kind of newspaper called The Weekly Rag.
*In the alley, it says Ghaka on the wall.
*Brit and Tiff wear four different outfits in this episode. The first is the pink and white with a bat (umbrella for Tiff, skirt for Brit), then they're bumblebees, then black for sneaking around the slums and their last one is Disney princesses. A lot of Disney jokes on this show, no?
My rating and review:
Only a blind person would hate this episode. This episode is probably only the second or third time I've ever seen the show, but it really hooked me. We've all felt ugly at some point, doesn't matter who you are. We've all been made fun of for our clothes, everyone. This episode really demonstrates my two favorite things about the show. The beauty of the drawings and the reality of it. When Jenny was painted red...man, that was awesome. I can't express it in words alone. She would make a great model if she was real. It was funny, cause Brit and Tiff's outfits were supposed to be hideous. And as far as reality goes, everyone has heard of a party that they have not been invited to. And you know, that no matter how much you hate the people there, you want to go. Popular girls are also incredibly desperate for attention. We all know that. They are very drastic too. I hate them so much. I have to give this episode an A. Good Job :)
