This Time With Feeling
Summary: Jenny finds out she has no sense of touch, and so she steals some robotic nerve endings from her mom's lab. They only work on two settings though, tickle and pain. And what happens when pain hurts so hard she can't save the town?
Storyboard:
Carlos Ramos
Directed: Robert Alvarez,
Rob Renzetti
Featuring Bruce Campbell as Himcules
Villian: Himcules
Moral: Don't steal unapproved nerve sensors from your mom's lab
*This episode, along with Daydream Believer, premiered on my birthday.
*This episode was originally titled Touched.
*Through out the episode, Jenny's nerve endings on her skirt and boots are sometimes there and sometimes not.
*Why didn't Sheldon get yelled at for talking while he was taking the exam? He must be a teacher's pet.
*Himcules tells the men to form a sewing circle but they actually start knitting.
*The three men at the gym that form the sewing circle look kind of like the three stooges.
My Rating and Review:
Wow! What a great story idea! Jenny wants a human capability, her mom has made one except it doesn't work quite right, so chaos falls over the town! Uh, hello, writers! Wasn't this idea done before? In fact, wasn't it done right before the commercial break in 'Daydream Believer'? Aw, geeze. One of my pet peeves is seeing something I've seen before. They started out almost exactly the same, too. Brad and Tuck introducing Jenny to something they have but she doesn't. Also, Brad had a scientific-like monologue in both. And then Brad acted disapproving at school, in both episodes! Did Chad Doreck even have to record new lines? Plus the whole basis of the story was an error, too. Jenny has feeling. I don't think there's a need for examples. I like the fact that Tuck wasn't overdone though. He just had his cute little beginning tickle fight and then that was it. That right there was good, but ... why was Sheldon in this episode? I mean, being his geeky little Sheldon-ish self was fine, but Sheldon does best if the episode is all centered around him and his crush on Jenny. He worked in 'Shell Game' and 'Attack of the 5 1/2 Ft. Geek' but he didn't work out in this episode. He had what, three lines? He didn't really belong in the episode, either. And Himcules, oh dear God. He's probably the worst villian yet! I can hardly stand to watch him. I give This Time With Feeling a D. Oh please, don't act so shocked. You knew it wasn't gonna get any better a grade.
