| My Rating and Review:
What amazes me about this episode is the wide variety of opinions on it. Some people say, 'I loved The Wonderful World of Wizzly! It's my favorite ep!' while others say, 'I hated that episode! I hope there aren't more like it.' and I've even heard that Jenny was out of character and being mean like Vexus. What did I think, though? I think that I like the idea of the episode, but I don't exactly like how it was carried out. What you really have to think is, What would you have done? If you had seen that your own race was being degrated and mocked, would you have stood idlely by? I don't understand how people can say that she was being mean. She had the best of intentions. All she wants is to be treated the same. That's what seperates her from Vexus. Jenny just wants robots to be equals, Vexus wants robots to be overlords; a defining difference. I do not like the way the episode was carried out, however, because it made it seem as if Jenny's efforts were ridiculous, or even a joke. The idea was not taken seriously at all, and it should have been. The only show of emotion was when Jenny was watching the robots go back and saying, "There's gotta be a better life for them than this." and maybe there was, maybe there wasn't. I like the cute little kid type of humor sometimes, but I was really hoping an episode like this wouldn't be like that. I wanted a little more feeling. The rating I give this episode is a B, because it should have been more dramatic and less cutesy, little kid-ish. But then again, what can you expect from Nickelodeon? |
