| I've probably broken a dozen of those stupid, cheap, worthless bar-pins that come with a set of shocks. So I designed and built a pair from some plain SOLID bar stock and so far they have been holding up nicely -----> BUT - a few people have told me that you can use the rear anti-swaybar mounts on XJ's too and that they are actually better. You can remove the shock and leave the mount attached, plus it drops the shock down about 1.25" for those doing a 2" budget lift. I decided to try it and WHOA! It works! Heres how it's done.... |

| Go grab the rear anti-swaybar mounts off a wrecked Cherokee. Most places only charge $1.99 each or a pair for $5. Or if you're sneaky [or cheap] you can stick them in your pocket since they're small. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| There ya go. It doesn't get any easier than this and it's stronger too. You lose the sideways articulation with OEM pin setup but there is VERY little of that anyway on a stock or medium-built XJ. And what movement there is will be picked up with the bushing anyway. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Throw a layer of rust proofing on the mounts before bolting them up. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
