-KoD Besides getting the strategies right and doing the theoretical stuff, you'll need good Earth etiquettes in order to reduce wars and conflicts between other competitors in your game. Here is a list of good etiquettes: Apologies 1. Landgrab After you've attacked a country, it is very important to send them an apology saying that you're sorry about the attack. Here's a sample message: "Sorry about the attack. Random landgrab. I will not attack you again for the rest of this game. Good luck to your country. If you ever need help just message me ok??" You want to give the victim a "false" sense of security by saying that you will not attack him again for the rest of the game. They will not retal on you after knowing that you will not ever touched them again. There's no point for them to stir up any trouble in their point of view when they know they'll be safe from you for the rest of the game. By offering help you're just giving yourself a good image. 2. Failed Spy Ops Unless you failed a spy op and then you got thru your target's defense, then you only need to send the above apology. If you failed a spy op and then decide not to attack your target for various reasons, then it is good to send them a message apologizing. Try distracting their attention by asking for an alliance in your message: "Sorry about the Spy Op. BTW want to be my ally?? My def allies are filled by the top 5 in the game. If you're interested then send me an offer. Good luck to your country." This is what I call Distraction of Attention. Your intension of spying on him has become an offer of appreciation. It is related to psychology but basically just messing with people's mind. 3. Landgrab Targets Never attack a top 10 country unless you have already dominated your game by being stable at rank 1 for a while. This is really simple: you want to make as many friends in your game as possible. Just imagine if you get grabbed by a fellow top 10er. Would you retal?? Sure you would, and even if you can't, you would wreak them at least. Even though it is more efficient to make big LGs, the risk involved is just not worth it. 4. Top Ten Network Once you reach top 10, it is to your advantage to make a good "network" amongst other top 10ers. Make friends with them all. Message them and see if you can ally with them in some ways, if not at least make a verbal peace treaty. You'll never know what will happen to you if you don't make friends with them. Once you become friends with them then you can do a lot of things with them such as top 10 domination (rape rank 11-20 hence making top 10 invincible) etc. Good relations is always the key to success. |
