The Laurelin (Enchanted World) Chronicles

(p.s after when i'm done with the site for each book i'll put a song.. maybe.. well anyway i'll put somehing and lyrics jsut so you get the mood or w/e.. make it up it's an excuse!)

    These stories began a long, long time ago called 'The Enchanted Ages', in a place called Laurelin. It was a time when magic still existed and there were two parts of the world, one where magic existed and another where we live now.

    There were different types of magic. People specialized different types. Water people possessed the power to manipulate water and to make water spring out from their fingers. Plant people were able to grow many different types of plants and make them very beautiful. Fire people could manipulate fire and start one just by thinking. Light people possessed the power to control the weather and attack with fierce lightning bolts. Then there are the dark people who possessed many powers. Last of all are the psychic people. They have powers of the mind.

    Dark people were the first to rebel against the whites (all the powers excluding dark). But not all dark people were rebels. Nor are all white people fighting the dark. Finally, Laurelin, was split in two parts, all the white lands and Keleq. Both parts of the world were very beautiful, although Keleq was the more formal one. The servants and maids and even slaves were dressed in long black robes. The structures of Keleq were grand and beautiful. The White Land had more of nature than Keleq.

    There were different lands, lands which differed in powers. Leilasal, is the land of the grass people. It is the biggest of all the white lands. There, people all had brown hair pale skin and pale blue eyes. Jarkakin was the land of the light people. There everyone who was born there, had white, floating hair, brown eyes and pale skin. Crystalica was the land of the psychic people. Everyone who was born there had fair skin, pacific blue or dark purple eyes and black hair. Algefar was the land of the water people. Everyone born there had blonde hair and blue-green eyes. In Keleq, land of the dark people, everyone born there had dark, black hair, dark black eyes and fair skin. Then there is Becelos, the land of the fire people. Everyone born there had red hair and brown eyes.

    Many had talismans which could be in many shapes. The talismans grew to fit their owner and if one person had no talisman, then they had no special powers. The talisman was the secret of their power.

    There were three languages spoken among the people of Laurelin (excluding English), the Language of the Enchanted Ones or simply Laurien and the Dark Language, Kelien and the Language of the Animals, Hakra. Laurien and Kelien were brother languages. They were similar but different. Both were very elegant languages. Hakra on the other hand was very sloppy and sounded meaningless.

    It was a custom that if one was married to a person of the same power, they had to go to their homeland to have a baby. If not, the baby usually died of a sickness called Lanienos. If a person married someone of different power, then they must go to one of their homelands to have a baby.

Options

There are different "stories" about this world. The one on which I am working on is the "The End of Laurelin" chronicles which contains 6 books.

The third "story" is a Legend. It is a triology about a dark girl saves the world by helping both sides, the dark and light. Enchantress of the Future
