Scented Pinecones supplies needed * Cinnamon * Ginger * Nutmeg * craft glue mixed with equal amounts of water * Foam brush *Pinecones Zip Lock Baggie Add spices together in a zip lock bag. (I'd go heavey on the cinnamon as I love the smell) Rinse pinecones under running water. Lay the pinecones on an old cookie sheet and bake at 200 degrees until pinecones open up.. (This not only kills any little beasties that may be residing within the pinecones, but also melts the sap resulting in a pretty glaze) Spread pinecones out on newspaper and set aside to dry completely. Use the form brush to apply the glue to the pinecones Add the pinecones one at a time to the zip lock baggie, shake to coat. When coated allow to dry. Glue a ribbon to the top of the pinecone and hang from Christmas tree. Christmas Sparkle Ornaments Trace assorted Christmas- themed cookie cutter shapes onto paper. Place waxed paper over design. Outline design with glue. Coat surface with glue and fill with glitter. Let set. Shake off extra glitter. Make a hole in top and loop a peice of ribbin and hang it on your Christmas tree. Candy Cane Reindeer Supplies needed * Candy Canes * Hot Glue * Wiggley Eyes * Pipe Cleaners * Ribbon Take candy cane (red & white look best) and hot glue brown or black pipe cleaners to top where it curves to make antlers. The thinner the pipe cleaners work best, but other sizes will work and still look alright. Glue on wiggley eyes a little ways below the antlers and red or brown small pompom on the end for the nose. Glue on riddon with a bow tie around the neck. The reindeer is ready for an ornament on the tree or a small token to attach to a Christma spresent. Not real expensive and pretty easy to make. |
