So, this caterpillar caught my eye, because it was suspended by an almost invisible thread (visible in the last shot), about 3 ft off the ground, and was just swinging around in the breeze, about 20 ft away from me.
I went to investigate, it was about an inch long and I couldn't resist trying to photograph it. Not an easy task when it was moving so much and the camera seems to take ages to actually take the shot after focussing.
Eventually, I fixed the focus manually at 2", set the camera to multiple shot mode and held the button down whilst letting it dance in front of the lens, figuring that some of the shots must be in focus.
Unfortunately, the clearest one wasn't quite completely in the frame, but I was impressed with what I did get.
I think I spooked it as it lowered itself to the ground at one point, but climbed back up again once I left it alone.
