imadoki!
"Imadoki" was released in 2000, while the Ceres anime was being released. It was a change from Watase-sensei's usual - she commonly wrote fantasy stories; average girls being suddenly thrown into wonderful adventures. Imadoki! was a school story. It's currently being released by Viz Communications as "Imadoki! Nowadays." "Imadoki!" is the story of Tanpopo Yamazaki. She's a country girl who recently transferred to one of the most elite rich kid schools in all of Tokyo, Meio Academy. The day before she starts, she meets a sweet boy who was tending to a dandelion (or "tanpopo" in Japanese). The next day at school, she sees the same boy but he acts as if they never met and completely cold. His name is Koki Kugyou, and he's the son of a respected rich businessman who funds the school. He even goes as far as to rip out the dandelion he had cared for so delicately the day before. Now Tanpopo will stop at nothing to make Koki become her friend.
