About me: I began my career in the alternative healing arts many years ago when I took Reiki I and II in 1995 in Arizona. This was my first formal training in a non-traditional method of healing. It fit with my personal belief that a single-handed approach is not usually the answer; that healing is done on many levels, each one which affects the others. After many years of studying biology in college, I began my massage therapy training at the Desert Institute of the Healing Arts in Tucson, Arizona in September of 1998. The program is 1000 clock hours , but I enjoyed learning it so much that I graduated with 1074 hours. I even returned after graduation as a teacher's assistant for the massage 3 class, and would probably be teaching there if I still lived in Arizona. |
