Lansing High School

Lansing Unified School District is comprised of hundreds of talented and dedicated individuals. We could not function without them. From the bus driver to the teacher aide, to the building principal, it takes the entire team to effectively impact our students. Our district has a teaching staff of 127 teachers, with over 50 of them holding advanced degrees. Lansing Elementary School

The Lansing Unified School district is comprised of five buildings located on two campuses. There is a K-2 school, Grade 3 building, Grade 4-5 building, Middle School comprised of grades 6-8, and a High School for students in grades 9-12.

All Lansing schools hold the highest accreditation granted by the State of Kansas. All the school are members in good standing with the North Central Association, which accredits schools throughout the mid-western United States. All district schools take full advantage of the vast learning opportunities that are in close geographical proximity through several colleges. The Lansing Public Schools participate in a country-wide consortium called the Leavenworth County Special Education Cooperative. This cooperative effort provides comprehensive and skilled services to special needs students that no single district could afford to provide. Some of the services that the LCSEC are for students with learning disabilities, mental disabilities, behavior disorders, physical and health impairments, visual handicap, autism, speech and language disabilities, severe multiple handicaps, and the gifted.
