| Nickname - Keeks, Kuchelly, Kookly Occupation / Title - Estimator College Attended - University of Minnesota - Morris Number of years playing for the Express - 11 or so. Favorite place to play in CVL and why? Cold Spring - Beautiful park that is kept up very well with a large grand stand that adds to its appeal. Favorite baseball player to watch growing up? Any Twin that was batting over .300. Why I play amateur baseball? #1) The Competition #2) Love of the Game #3) Being around teammates Favorite Quote - By Chuck Carr, former major league player. I think he was playing for the Marlins when he was sent down to the minor leagues the day after disobeying the coach's take sign on a 2 and 0 count. When Carr was asked how he felt about being sent down to the minor leagues because of his actions, he said, " That ain't Chuckie's game,... Chuckie hacks on 2 and 0." Best hitter in CVL? Too many to just pick one. Best pitcher in the CVL? Bruce, Stan, and Joe with a good arm. Kimball business that I frequent the most - Kuechle Underground Inc. Lumber of choice - Verdict is still out. Hopefully this year I'll settle in on one. If I had to choose now I would say I like the composite bat the best. Likes / Dislikes about the wood bat coming back? I like it as I believe it is how baseball should be played... but I dislike the way my average and other stats have suffered. Night or day games? Day if it's not to hot. Night if I don't have to work the next day. Baseball Superstition - Baseball is a continuous game of superstitions. Always play the percentages and let the baseball gods sort it all out. Hobbies - Anything sports related and TV. Biggest baseball influence in my life - All my teammates and coaches along the way. You can learn a lot from a good coach, but it's all the little things you pick up from various players, coaches, friends, and even watching games that you can use to try to get an edge. |
