Why I play amateur baseball - I don't have a choice. My wife makes me!

Most entertaining umpire in Central MN and why? Rodney Schultz. He's very animated.

Favorite quote - "A good way to threaten somebody is to light a stick of dynamite. Then you call the guy and hold the burning fuse up to the phone. "Hear that?" you say. "That's dynamite baby!"

Kimball business that I frequent the most - Schmidty's

Lumber of choice - Not real sure yet. I want to try maple this year and see what that does for me. I used ash all of last year.

Likes/Dislikes about the wood bat coming back - I love the feel of wood. It's raw and simple, the way the game should be.

Night or day games - Night

Baseball superstition - It's all in the socks and the dried up, white, crusty, sweat in the band of my hat.

Hobbies - Spending time with my wife Leah and family. Hunting, fishing, any kind of sports, weight lifting, I guess I'd like to be a potter some day.

Biggest baseball influence in my life - I'd have to say my dad. He loved the game and introduced it to me.

FYI - Mike used to take dance classes when he was younger, he was in a recital with about 20 young girls and one other guy, Tod Faber from Watkins. They tap danced together!
