White Fruit Cake
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
3 1/2 cups flour
1 cup milk
1 tsp.baking powder
5 egss whites beaten stiff
1tsp.vanilla
few drops of almond extract
1lb. dried fruit mixed
peaches,pears,apricots,(white raisins only)
cut into small pieces.

Cream butter and sugar. Add milk and flour and baking powder. Mix 1/2 cup of this flour mix with fruit to keep from sticking together. Fold in egg whites and vanilla,then fold in fruit. Do not mix too much egg whites must be fluffy. Bake slow 250 degrees for 3 hours.
Put pieices of fruit and 1/2 nuts on top after cake is in oven 1 hour, finish baking. Let set in pan 1 hour to cool. Remove from pan. Let cake age 2 weeks before eating.
