History of Valentine
Some believe that Valentine Day is celebrated in the middle of February in commenorate the death or burial of Saint Valentine, which is to be told happened around 270 A.D.
Saint Valentine was a priest who served in the third century in Rome.
He preformed marriages to young men after  Emperor Claudius II decided the young single men made better soliders then the men with wives and family. He outlawed marriages for the young single men. Saint Valentine defied his oreders and continued to perform such marriages.
Saint Valentine was prisoned and sentenced to death. While waiting for his sentece to be carried out he fell in love with a lady which he wrote letters to. The last letter he wrote to her he signed "From Your Valentine"
Others claim that the church may have decided to celebrate Valentine in February in efforts to "christiaize" celebrations of the pagan Luperecalia festival.
However Valentine Day begun, every February across the country flowers, candy, and gifts are exchanged between love ones.
