			Years later, many people and one particular person I should say watched Vanessa and her family from a distance. Not reveling themselves or come to their detection of course, one of them happened to be Mr. Sinister who had studied her family genes for quite some time and thought Vanessa was a wonderful weapon for his means. At the age of 10, Vanessa was walking home from school one day and found her family token by group organization that supposedly had some affiliation with the Weapon X program. Her parents sought to protect their children they started to retaliate but some of the members (of the group) started to shoot at her parents. Naturally she tried to block the bullets, but it was too late her father was killed instantly and so was her older brother as he was trying to protect his mother. When this happen Vanessa went ballistic and unleashed the full force of her budding psionic powers and mentally stunned them to death but some of the members managed to get away. Her mother barely survived, she was paralyzed from the neck down and spent what was left of her life in a wheelchair she died two years later due to breathing problems of her being severely paralyzed. Vanessa and the rest of her living siblings moved back to New York to live with her Aunt. Vanessa was pent up with so much hate and bitterness she sought vengeance for the people who destroyed the people she loved. At the age of 13 she got it, when her aunt was getting beat up by her abusive junky boyfriend Vanessa naturally defended her. While fighting her aunt’s boyfriend she suddenly grew claw-like nails and attacked him vigorously. He was so frighten that he ran away, but Sinister found and talked (manipulated) to him to find the group who wanted her the first time he said he would offer him a handsome prize for this act. When she walked from school one day she encountered them and immediately she knew it was the same people who killed her family. This of course provided a catalyst (as he intended) to fully awaken all her powers due to the stress. She slaughtered them one by one using her new vampire attributes and psionic powers. Sinister didn’t have plans to take her just yet; he let her powers flourish on their own and wanted her to develop a stable control of her well being. He really couldn’t have her if she was emotionally disturbed so he let her live her own life-momentarily and try to pick up the pieces. She graduated high-school early for fear of any more people figuring out of what she was and because she wanted to do more of herself and her dream of being a musician. She also worked for a mutant guerrilla network (as an Assassin/Spy) that provided information to certain mutant terrorist organizations about political officials that were anti-mutant. She quit as soon she saved enough money for herself and her family to leave for California. This is when finally Sinister decided he wanted her for his own, he went and try to take her but she ended up in the Sentinels custody but the X-Men heard of what Sinister was trying to do and went to stop him. They did and offered Vanessa to finally attend Xavier Institute as her dad promised she would one day to help make the world a better place for all people mutants and humans alike.
