Background: She didn't realize her powers untill the age of fifteen when she was at the zoo with a group of friends. She wandered away from her friends to spend time alone at the lion cage. She was sitting at the edge of the cage when she asked the lion if it was boring sitting in a cage all day. She didn't expect a response but then a deep voice reached her ears and
said "you have no idea" it took a minute for her to realize that the lion talked back to her. She reached her arm up to the steely cage. The lion stretched his giant paw to the edge of the bars and she touched him, closing her eyes as she stroked his paw.
The lion roared and jumped back, Gabriel's hand turned into a replica of the paw. She screamed. Her friends heard her and ran over. Hiding her hand behind her back, her friends questioned her.She said she was merely frightened when the lion roared. Her friends and her laughed it off and they made their way down another sidewalk. Gabriel, however, slipped away from her friends again and went back to the lion cage. She talked to him again and won his trust back. Her hand returned to normal.
