stafone [staff – 1] Julian Rentzsch was brought into the
world in Hamburg in 1978. While
attending a Waldorf school (86 to 94) he was surrounded from an early
age with various artistic expressions such as drawing, painting, printing,
book binding, basket weaving, pottery, and sculpture. His inner creative process developed to a point,
where he knew that he wanted to spend his life doing his art and living
from it. In 1997/98, during his social service, stafone met with future artistic partner, dan. By now, they’ve formed
a great team, well known in Hamburg’s graffiti and mural scene
(go to the lighthouse gallery for samples
of their work) and are active members of “Sinnestaumel”, an independent
artist’s organization. They are currently independent contractors hired
to paint murals, illustrations, and various signs and advertisements.
