	Newcomer John Robinson made a splash in Gus Van Sant's Cannes Film Festical Palm d'Or winner ELEPHANT, based loosely on the columbine tradgedy. Van Sant selected Robinson from over 3,000 high school students at an open casting call. He had taken acting classes in Portland prior to his acting debut in this movie. An Oregon native, 19 year-old Robinson plays lacrosse for one of the few schools of its size to compete on a state level, Oregon Episcopal School (www.oes.edu). He also enjoys snowboarding and wakeboarding. He is currently living in Lake Oswego, Oregon.
