Current items I dont have for this build include 4:10 gears, 3000 stall convertor (capable of 3000 rpm stall and nitrous, and Explorer Shortblock (one from a wrecking yard will do with a cam change), custom cam in the .500 lift range( possibly a pure street styled cam), front skinnie wheels and tires, high volume fuel pump (walbro/BBK/Holley) any of these will do.

I currently am building my an explorer (a 1993) to bracket race with. It will be 302 powered with a C-4 Automatic and a winters shifter, with a reverse manual valve body. The convertor will also be around a 3000 stall. Follow along as I build this "Bracket X" Something for my children and I to enjoy both locally and Nationally with NMRA,NMCA and FFW. Heck I'm even gonna add a shot of nitrous for a little grudge racing. Stick around and enjoy the build. Thanks Ben Harper

3.08 gears won't make the cut...I'll be rebuilding this rearend with 4:10 gears....

looking for 11's in the 1/8 mile?? NOT me I want 7's in the 1/8 mile...therefore it will be 302 EFI powered and C-4 automatic for this Bracket/NMRA/FFW ride

Update 06-17-06...Today I started removing the wiring, the ac condensor, ac evaporator core, heater box, radiator, fan shroud, and many other items. 3200 lbs here we come!

Race seat currently being installed, The battery will be moved to the rear, the heads currently will be 93 cobra GT-40 cast iron's, and the current block being used will be a junkyard explorer 302 roller engine from my a local junkyard.
