Uncle Toms Anonymous: Debunking Organized Religion
THE COINCIDING OF THE START OF ENGLISH COLONIALISM AND THE CREATION OF THE KING JAMES VERSION OF THE BIBLE.

In the last article I wrote on this page I suggested that there hasn't been another translation of the Bible in 400 years. I was wrong on this subject but since there has been many revisions in the last century alone, that leaves room for further doctoring from the original. I'm willing to bet that both the New King James and Revised Standard Version of the Bible only contain a fraction of what was in the original Old and New Testaments that were written thousands of years ago as both are simply revisions of a revision: the King James Version.

This segues to the current topic. Twice, in 1585 and 1587, Sir Walter Raleigh attempted to establish a colony on Roanoke Island for the English crown. England and Spain, the two "superpowers" of their time, had a rivalry similar to the cold war between the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. Spain's King Phillip II, a Catholic, wanted to dethrone Queen Elizabeth of England, a Protestant and return England to Catholic rule. England, the No.2 nation, wanted to take Spain's place at the top to insure the survival of the Church of England so this was a good reason to try to acquire an empire itself. However, both attempts to colonize Roanoke Island failed. War soon broke out between the two nations and England would not be able to make any further attempts at colonization until after Elizabeth I's death in 1603.

Since Elizabeth I died childless, the crown went to her cousin James I (James VI in Scotland). To fufill his quest for empire, he ended the war with Spain and set out to colonize Ireland and America. To insure that what happened on Roanoke Island 20 years would not happen again, he ordered a new version of the Bible to be made. This doctored version of the Bible was translated to brand non-Protestant people as "heathens" and to justify the theft of lands, the brutal repression of the native Irish, the attempted genocide of the Native Americans, and the enslavement of Africans.

In 1607 the settlement of Jamestown and the Ulster Plantation began in advance of the completion of the King James Bible four years after. When it was completed, English colonization took off and became very successful. In later centuries, England would go into India, China, and Africa using the Bible as a weapon of mass destruction. First they would label the native population "subhuman", then they would send in their armed forces to conquer these places, and lastly, they would send in the missionaries to finish the process by converting these natives to Christianity. How many hundreds of millions of people died because of this racist version of what is allegedly a religion of peace. Isn't it ironic, don't ya think!
