Valentine's Day

February 11, 2000

Today is a day of love; a day of couples holding hands
A day of couples sharing memories from the past, and set new one
A day to express their loves for one another
A day to buy roses, chocolates, and even a teddy bear
A day to show them that you care
A romantic day, a romantic night, a romantic moment
A walk on the beach, viewing the sunset
A gentle rest on the sand, with stars ruling the night
A candlelight dinner atop breathe taking scenery
A case of chimney fire, glowing in the cascade shadows
Champagne flows like crystal and gold
Conversations runs straight from candle sight
Foods gorge, and consume below dim light
But, the lonely one, the single one
Have no one to share their thoughts, and hear them speak
No one to express his or her feelings so weak
No roses receive, no roses bought
No romantic day, just like any other days
No walk or talk on the beach
No rest to view to stars in its peak
No diner, with candlelight, and chimney fire
Just you alone, beginning to moan
Happy Valentine's Day.
