| Q: " I'm afraid that I cant handel giving birth because im so young. Is there anyway that i can just get a C-section?" A: My answer and everyone elses is no way! A cesearen section is a last resort deal. I begged for them to "wake me when its over" and they all laughed at me. Dont worry about it because if its the pain your worried about, a nice big epidural will do you just fine. |
| Q: " I smoke pot. Should I quit now that Im pregnant?" A: Well, like any drug, you should quit. Although the evidence that smoking marijuana while you're pregnant does different harm to the fetus than smoking cigarretts is mild, you should quit. It will do harm. You must stop using ALL drugs if you want to make sure that your child will be alright. |
| Q: "My mom said she was in labor for 42 hours with me. Does this mean Im gonna have a long labor?" A: I dont beleive labor really lasts that long. Yes it has happened, but that wont mean you will have a long labor too. When I was in labor it was 6 hours long. My mom said she went 30 hours with my brother. Everbodys pregnancy and labor is unique and different. dont worry about it! Labor technicly starts when you begin to dialate. So technicly, I was in labor for a week and a half. :-) |
| Q: " If I eat more fruits, will I have a girl?" A: No. You cannot do anything during your pregnancy to create the gender of your child. It is strictly made from the dna in the sperm and the egg. Sorry. |
| Q: " I'm showing already, I thought it wasnt supposed to happen till the end of the third month?." A: Like I said before, every pregnancy is different. It could be that your taking in too many calories. See your Obgyn about it. |
| There are A lot of questions to be asked by a pregnant woman. Especially by a first time teenage mother or a first time mother for that matter. The best thing to do is write down all your questions as they come up on a little fat notebook and take them with when you go and see your Gyno. Also, I really would like to be of service, so write down your questions and post them on the question comment board, or e-mail me. I try my best to respond to questions as quickly as possible. |
