2. I gave an introductory statement of what the youth club entitled. Neva also made some comments, being one of the co-advisers.
3. I gave out the green folders that Siri, co-officer and I had put together, including Saddlebred packets, the Madison Riding Academy, LLC booklet, a La Fleur Van Ess Stables brochure, a coloring poster, and name space.
4. We enjoyed a snack of horse cookies and punch, courtesy Mrs. Sabol. (Thank you!)
5. We talked as a group about the youth activities we could take part in, specifically the American Saddlebred International Youth Program (ASIYP).
6. I gave the who's who speech. Solveig Smithback (myself) being the president, Anna Jenstead: the vice-president, Faye Wuesthofen: the secretary, Siri Smithback: the treasurer, and Neva Van Ess and Melissa (Emmy) Thorsen-Hansen: our co-advisers.
7. Many members filled out the necessary forms to be in the ASIYP.
8. Our activity: reading through the brief history of the American Saddlebred. Neva led this activity.
9. It was declared that the next meeting would be held March 9th 2002! The meeting ended at 12:45.
