Garage Band Part 4: Losing The Audition To Her
Pale green shadows glow through the night,
   electricity dead
   with the exception
   of the ever-burning clock.
The rain outside is different somehow,
   not sunshowers,
   but still rivers of tar
eroding the soil which surrounds the stop sign.
Suddenly blood is unavoidable,
for it is the same red
   which I now hold dear
that runs through the veins of the first.
Betrayal of emotions,
   taking a hand
   that doesn't want to be
   ------taken------
Reaching for a feeling
   that only I posess
   and ignoring the truth
   of a bitter ending.
Never before experiencing
   a pain so immense,
   I run out of tears
   and go unsettlingly numb.
It is only now that I come to realize
   the sources of my sadness
   live in the same house
and will never leave my body.
Infinite hurt may seem unimaginable,
   but I know its existence
   thrives in me,
and all I know to do is feed it.

The one reason for my happiness has become my one reason for regret.
