Garage Band Part 5: The Benefits of Guilt |
Pale green shadows reflect in my eyes, burning, off of this abandoned sweater leaving me cold. Time has replaced stop signs with traffic lights and mine is finally -----green----- ...it's all around me... The tar on this street has stopped flowing and it stands solid under October skies Memories washed white and lifeless by experience and hard-earned pain Where is my long-lost friend who had so kindly offered his hand for assurance? Needing him now, yet not, realizing that I waved and he went slowly just as we always do Two years of hate brought me protection from those sunshowers and a love too strong to feel As the curtain falls and the lights fade away the tears glisten down and I smile.
