Betty Boop made her first appearance on 9/9/1930 - as a dog! She was originally created as the love interest for Bimbo,a dog who had been Fleischer Studios' answer to a certain magical rodent.
Over time,many women have been the voice of Betty Boop,but none more often then Mae Questel.
The name of Bettys first cartoon was "Stopping the show", in 1932.Betty made her first Talkartoon appearance in "Dizzy Dishes".Betty gained her full name in the 1931 Talkartoon,"Minding The Baby".
Betty Boop may have finished her time as a headliner
in 1939,but her legend lived on.Betty Boop's come-back began with the 12 cartoon retrospective of 1974,
released to the movie house in the fall of 1973.
