Si-iN has been together about a year or so, but we've been throught a ton of shit already. Besides the very obvious name change which everyone seems to remember, the member and direction of the band has been switched and tossed around numorus times, as well. We started out with the name LiQuiD and only having two memebers, Josh and Scott, but soon added Steve and Matt. Matt as bass, and Steve as DJ guy thing. Steve, however didn't work out. He started to become a dick head and we just had to throw him out. Dumbass. Anywho, after Steve left we were in a ditch. We had no direction and didn't really want to seriously work on the band. We had a bunch of lyrics (starting with 2(23) onward, Waves, ...dreams..., and 9mm from freedom/don't go), but you can't have a band without music...And we needed a drummer. So we got Brett. He didn't disagree at all and decided to change the name...after many, many names being thrown on the table, we decided on Si-iN after a drawing that I made...But after the new name and new member, Josh moved. HE MOVED! So we were stuck again, we get a drummer to make the band work and our lead guitarist left. We tried to work it out, we practiced when he visited, but that was very rarely. So after a while, Matt and I got tired and waiting for him to visit and we started to practice without him at Brett's house. No guitarist, but at least we had a drummer, bassist, and vocalist. That wasn't enough though, entering high school we saw all the competition that was facing us and we realized what we needed to make it big...We needed a god damn guitarist. Just then i remembered about this one kid who i talked to alot who's been in a bunch'a bands and who was a pretty cool kid...and lucky enough, he played guitar...His name was and still is Bri (brian, in case your dumb). Shortly after, i found another really cool person who would make a great addition to the band...I've known her for a really long time and so has Matt. Her name is Rachel. We figured if one guitarist could make our band sound really cool, than two would make it sound much much much better. Well, we're on our way now. We're getting ready for the 2003 Battle of the Bands at MoHS. Check us out there and see you all later. ~Scott |
